Foundations Beginner

This is the perfect starting point for anyone new to grappling. Split into six distinct classes:

  • Naked strangles
  • Back control
  • Front headlock
  • Go behinds

Module Two

  • Triangles
  • Guard retention
  • Closed guard
  • Upper body grip fighting (standing)

Module Three

  • Arm bars
  • Mount
  • Half guard
  • Standing body locks

Module Four

  • Twisting armlocks
  • Side control
  • Splitting legs to hold someone down
  • Grip fighting with leg attacks (standing)

Module Five

  • Arm in strangles
  • Progressing from hip control to chest or back control
  • Lifting a leg to hold someone down

Module Six

  • Ankle locks
  • Single leg takedowns
  • Knocking a standing player down from bottom position
  • Hip control to hold someone down

Mixed Levels All Levels

Suitable for all levels with a focus on the fundamental skills required to be a competent grappler. The whole syllabus takes 3 months to run through.

Comprehensive Curriculum

  • Focus on both offensive and defensive skills
  • Adaptable instruction for different experience levels
  • Complete syllabus cycles every 3 months

Competition Class Advanced

This class focuses on building the skills and physical capacity required for competition success. Expect a high intensity class with a positive and encouraging atmosphere.

  • High-intensity training sessions
  • Competition-specific strategies and tactics
  • Mental preparation and performance coaching
  • Conditioning and stamina development

Open Mat All Levels

No teaching, use these sessions to do what you want: free sparring, your own games or even just having a chat. These sessions are open to all members.

Self-Directed Practice

  • Unstructured training time
  • Opportunity to practice techniques from classes
  • Freedom to focus on personal development areas
  • Community building and social interaction

Open Competition Training Advanced Free Blue Belt+ Only

Eligibility: Only open to athletes who have competed at blue belt level or above.

Free to attend for people from all gyms who meet the eligibility criteria. Structured positional and free sparring rounds for serious competitors.
